1940s Chinese Nichols Carpet Color Full 7 X 5

This is a very color full carpet with a creamy dreamy field with a soft rose frame. The way it

is laid out reminds me of the principles of ikebana flower arranging. The law of three is utilized

regarding balance commonly referred to as “heaven, earth, and man”. Balance is attained in this

fashion and the result is harmony. Overall condition of this rug is very good. One small crater

or low spot smaller than a dime in the field. This can be viewed in a photo above. 80 years old

and house or apartment ready. The flat weave cotton ends did not survive 80 years of vacuuming.
