This is the LARGE hand blown Athena Bowl in Molly Stone and Michael Cohn’s signature Tortoise Shell Art Glass Collection: a magical combination of classical form paired with bold contemporary color and pattern. The bowl is created by a proprietary process developed by Michael Cohn in the early 1970’s whereby four different glasses are melted at very high temperatures resulting in a luminous sun-like inside, sparking a reaction that produces the outer tortoise shell pattern. Each hand blown piece has its own unique richness and depth of patterning – a timeless combination of contemporary and classical art. vv
